About the role
- Perform the monthly operational close for the group’s entities
- Prepare, maintain and update month‑end working papers
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and traceability of financial data
- Participate in the analysis and explanation of monthly variances
- Perform various complex accounting tasks, including consumption taxes (sales taxes), fixed asset tracking and depreciation/amortization
- Contribute to the preparation of annual audit files and respond to audit/support requests
- Process biweekly payroll for employees
- Prepare and validate government remittances
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
- Support activities related to international tax matters
- Prepare the monthly financial documentation required by banking institutions
Requirements
- Technical accounting diploma (DEC) or equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment, multi‑site operations or multi‑currency environment
- Experience in a multi‑entity and/or international environment: an asset
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with statutory payroll administration (Quebec and United States)
- High level of rigor, reliability, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously, sound professional judgment and discretion
- Bilingual in French and English
