About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will assume strategic and operational responsibility for procurement within international plant engineering projects.
  • Manage and own project-related procurement in complex EPC/plant construction projects.
  • Develop and implement project-specific procurement and purchasing strategies.
  • Conduct independent contract and price negotiations with national and international suppliers.
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, and quality targets, including claims management within projects.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, controlling, supply chain, and international procurement teams.
  • Select, evaluate, and further develop strategic suppliers.
  • Analyze procurement markets and identify cost-saving and optimization potentials.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, or procurement management—ideally in plant engineering, mechanical engineering, or project business.
  • Experience in international projects and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Technical understanding and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident presence in interdisciplinary and international teams.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
  • Negotiation-level German and English (approx. B2/C1).
