About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will assume strategic and operational responsibility for procurement within international plant engineering projects.
Manage and own project-related procurement in complex EPC/plant construction projects.
Develop and implement project-specific procurement and purchasing strategies.
Conduct independent contract and price negotiations with national and international suppliers.
Responsible for cost, schedule, and quality targets, including claims management within projects.
Work closely with project management, engineering, controlling, supply chain, and international procurement teams.
Select, evaluate, and further develop strategic suppliers.
Analyze procurement markets and identify cost-saving and optimization potentials.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, or procurement management—ideally in plant engineering, mechanical engineering, or project business.
Experience in international projects and negotiating complex contracts.
Technical understanding and strong analytical skills.
Strong communication skills and a confident presence in interdisciplinary and international teams.
Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
Negotiation-level German and English (approx. B2/C1).
