About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently identify leads and support their development into concrete sales opportunities
  • Responsible for managing the sales pipeline
  • Participate in international trade shows as a product specialist and build and maintain customer relationships
  • Serve as the central interface between sites, customers, agents and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineering, Planning, Trial Center) to ensure a smooth sales process
  • Support projects such as implementing structured guided-sales methods, improving proposal quality, and developing presentation materials in collaboration with Marketing
  • Centrally manage selected global key accounts in Slicing & Packaging, build and maintain relationships at decision-maker level, and develop a deep understanding of their business models
  • Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen the partnership between GEA and these key accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification in a relevant technical or commercial field
  • At least 3 years of proven professional experience in a sales role within plant and machinery engineering
  • Strong commercial understanding, high self-motivation, and excellent communication skills
  • Very structured, detail-oriented working style with a strong commitment to accuracy in all sales-related activities
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English; French or Spanish skills are a plus
  • Willingness to travel: up to 50% international travel
