About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise the assembly and installation of Kaplan and Francis turbines at large and small hydroelectric power plants, ensuring compliance with deadlines, contractual requirements, and quality standards
- Collaborate with site and construction managers to sequence activities and ensure the availability of the required labor, tools, and resources
- Monitor the competency and performance of contractors, ensuring that work is performed strictly in accordance with procedures, technical specifications, and quality guidelines
- Ensure that all activities comply with company safety standards and local regulations, safeguarding the well-being of personnel and the integrity of equipment
- Maintain up-to-date control of technical drawings and documents, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate technical solutions with engineering teams
- Provide training to client teams on system operation and deliver ongoing technical support during and after the assembly process
- Promote process analysis and the sharing of lessons learned with the engineering team to optimize future operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electrotechnics, or a related field
- Previous experience as a generator assembly supervisor at hydroelectric power plants
- Intermediate English is a plus
- Intermediate Spanish
- Willingness and availability to travel frequently domestically and internationally and to work at project sites
