About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, assess, and mitigate project-specific risks before and during execution
- Develop and monitor contingency and mitigation plans for critical activities
- Ensure project activities comply with legal requirements, GE Vernova corporate standards, and the client’s contractual EHS requirements
- Act as a strategic partner to the Project Manager
- Participate in progress meetings, manage the client’s EHS expectations, and represent the organization during construction-site or site audits
- Determine EHS resource requirements based on the project schedule and the complexity of each project phase
- Assess EHS impacts resulting from changes to scope, schedule, or methodology, ensuring that safety is not compromised
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations applicable to major construction, installation, or long-term maintenance projects, including specific regulatory standards for construction and installation
- Advanced Spanish
- Intermediate English
- Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally to field locations and project sites
