About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, assess, and mitigate project-specific risks before and during execution, going beyond standard operational routines
- Develop and monitor contingency and mitigation plans for critical activities
- Ensure that all project activities comply with legal requirements, GE Vernova corporate standards, and the EHS requirements established in the customer contract
- Act as a strategic partner to the Project Manager
- Participate in progress meetings, manage the customer’s EHS expectations, and represent the organization in construction site or site audits
- Determine EHS resource requirements, including specialized training, special PPE, and additional technical support, based on the project schedule and the complexity of each project phase
- Assess EHS impacts resulting from changes to the project scope, schedule, or methodology, ensuring that safety is not compromised
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in the role
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations applicable to large-scale construction, installation, or long-term maintenance projects, including specific regulatory standards
- Advanced Spanish
- Intermediate English
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally to field locations and project sites
