About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project-specific risks before and during execution, going beyond standard operational routines
  • Develop and monitor contingency and mitigation plans for critical activities
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with legal requirements, GE Vernova corporate standards, and the EHS requirements established in the customer contract
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Project Manager
  • Participate in progress meetings, manage the customer’s EHS expectations, and represent the organization in construction site or site audits
  • Determine EHS resource requirements, including specialized training, special PPE, and additional technical support, based on the project schedule and the complexity of each project phase
  • Assess EHS impacts resulting from changes to the project scope, schedule, or methodology, ensuring that safety is not compromised

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field
  • Previous experience in the role
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations applicable to large-scale construction, installation, or long-term maintenance projects, including specific regulatory standards
  • Advanced Spanish
  • Intermediate English
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally to field locations and project sites
