About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Labor Relations
  • Lead negotiations on behalf of the HR department
  • Hold regular meetings with works councils
  • Maintain a constructive and trusting relationship with employee representatives and works councils
  • Coordinate matters with labor authorities
  • Manage and coordinate all labor and employment law matters in cooperation with the works council and/or trade unions
  • Prepare for and conduct negotiations with employee representatives
  • Advise managers and HR People Partners / Business Partners on collective and individual employment law matters
  • Ensure compliance with labor, collective bargaining, and corporate law requirements
  • Support restructurings, reorganizations, and change processes
  • Work with external legal counsel and participate in labor court proceedings
  • Train and raise awareness among managers regarding employment law and employee relations
  • Monitor legislative changes, case law, and labor law negotiations, and follow up with works councils and trade unions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field with a focus on employment law
  • In-depth knowledge of collective and individual employment law (BetrVG, ArbZG, TzBfG, etc.)
  • Preferred: Professional experience in human resources with a focus on employment law / labor relations, ideally in a company covered by collective bargaining agreements
  • Preferred: Experience working with employee representatives and conducting negotiations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic acumen
  • Strong conflict-resolution and assertiveness skills
  • Structured and solutions-oriented approach to work
  • Discretion, integrity, and resilience
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Good English language skills
