About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead global development teams in the design, development, and implementation of Power Conversion Products
  • Manage project scope and technical requirements and obtain stakeholder approval
  • Perform stakeholder analysis and communicate project status
  • Run regularly scheduled team and review meetings
  • Create and manage project plans, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery
  • Drive use of product-development best practices, including FMEAs, risk assessments, and detailed task tracking
  • Own overall project performance, including financials, schedule, and scope
  • Coordinate deliverables across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and services
  • Provide project estimates for business planning processes
  • Manage project risks through identification, analysis, response planning, monitoring, and control
  • Report project status on schedule, budget, scope, quality, and risks
  • Mentor Project Managers and project team members
  • Partner with Engineering on LEAN and AI-enabled productivity improvements
  • Make decisions using judgment and technical knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • For roles outside of the USA: significant experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering; knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college
  • For roles in the USA: minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 additional years of experience in a Project Management position within a global environment and at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
  • At least 8 additional years of industry experience working in multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Experience leading global development teams
  • Knowledge of GE-manufactured Power Electronics and/or Control Systems
  • Prior leadership experience in a matrix organization
  • Ability to use LEAN methodology and AI for productivity improvements
  • Ability to work legally in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
