About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead global development teams in the design, development, and implementation of Power Conversion Products
Manage project scope and technical requirements and obtain stakeholder approval
Perform stakeholder analysis and communicate project status
Run regularly scheduled team and review meetings
Create and manage project plans, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery
Drive use of product-development best practices, including FMEAs, risk assessments, and detailed task tracking
Own overall project performance, including financials, schedule, and scope
Coordinate deliverables across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and services
Provide project estimates for business planning processes
Manage project risks through identification, analysis, response planning, monitoring, and control
Report project status on schedule, budget, scope, quality, and risks
Mentor Project Managers and project team members
Partner with Engineering on LEAN and AI-enabled productivity improvements
Make decisions using judgment and technical knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need

For roles outside of the USA: significant experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering; knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college
For roles in the USA: minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 additional years of experience in a Project Management position within a global environment and at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
At least 8 additional years of industry experience working in multi-disciplined engineering teams
Experience leading global development teams
Knowledge of GE-manufactured Power Electronics and/or Control Systems
Prior leadership experience in a matrix organization
Ability to use LEAN methodology and AI for productivity improvements
Ability to work legally in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
