About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day EHS support at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance with permits, reporting, policies, environmental regulations, guidelines, and requirements
- Help manage injury reports and care management
- Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Provide tactical issue resolution and address EHS issues related to site operations and equipment
- Conduct EHS training for forklifts, cranes, and other equipment
- Assist with EHS program implementation and identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain continuous shop-floor presence and partner with Operations leadership and hourly employees
- Follow up on ATS findings, employee concerns, and Gensuite compliance calendar tasks
- Develop and maintain area risk assessments
- Support site changes such as new machine installations and layout changes
- Participate in GE EHS initiatives and programs
- Provide expert guidance and direct assistance for site compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1 year of experience in EHS with a focus in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Health & Safety, Environmental Services, or similar (desired but not required)
