About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with permits, reporting, policies, environmental regulations, guidelines, and requirements
  • Help manage injury reports and care management
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Provide tactical issue resolution and address EHS issues related to site operations and equipment
  • Conduct EHS training for forklifts, cranes, and other equipment
  • Assist with EHS program implementation and identify improvement opportunities
  • Maintain continuous shop-floor presence and partner with Operations leadership and hourly employees
  • Follow up on ATS findings, employee concerns, and Gensuite compliance calendar tasks
  • Develop and maintain area risk assessments
  • Support site changes such as new machine installations and layout changes
  • Participate in GE EHS initiatives and programs
  • Provide expert guidance and direct assistance for site compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in EHS with a focus in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Health & Safety, Environmental Services, or similar (desired but not required)
