About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the execution of large, complex substation projects within GE Vernova’s Grid Systems Integration business
- Coordinate multiple interdependent sub-projects and workstreams into an integrated delivery plan
- Align engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, construction, commissioning, handover, and customer-interface activities
- Review project scope against the GEV quote during transfer from Commercial to Project Management
- Lead internal and customer project kick-off meetings
- Assign roles and responsibilities to internal contributors
- Establish and maintain project governance, including reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalations, and leadership reporting
- Monitor project performance against key metrics
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, delays, and cost impacts
- Support sub-project leaders and functional teams in resolving cross-functional challenges and removing execution barriers
- Manage customer communication and stakeholder coordination
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal processes, quality standards, regulatory expectations, and safety requirements
- Lead change management, including scope-change evaluation, schedule and cost impact assessment, approvals, and customer notifications
- Prepare and present project status updates, forecasts, and executive summaries to leadership
- Drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support project closing, final deliverables, lessons learned, financial closure, and transition to warranty or service phases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field is required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience
- Experience preferably in substations, grid infrastructure, energy, or other large and complex industrial projects
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects across cross-functional and international environments
- Strong grounding in project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks
- Experience engaging global or regional stakeholders in matrixed organizations
- Ability to balance competing priorities while driving consistent execution
- Clear communication across teams, customers, and senior leadership
- Ability to design scalable frameworks and anticipate operational needs
- Root-cause analysis and practical problem-solving
- Ability to use data, metrics, and trends to inform decisions and measure impact
- Organizational change management and stakeholder buy-in
- French language proficiency is an asset
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information may require authorization from the U.S. Government
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Up to 15% travel based on business needs
