About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary customer interface for warranty claims
- Manage the warranty claim lifecycle for covered equipment, including gas and steam turbines, generators, MSD, HRSG, and plant BOP
- Liaise between customers, functions, and business lines to drive claim resolution
- Implement the Global Warranty Governance Framework for assigned sites
- Conduct investigations to validate the technical and contractual validity of warranty claims
- Assess repair-versus-replacement decisions based on technical feasibility, cost, schedule impact, and contractual obligations
- Review technical documentation, design specifications, installation records, operational data, and maintenance logs
- Coordinate with Legal, Contract Management, and Global Warranty teams
- Execute warranty work and support punch list closure, including planning, demand placement, and fulfillment for parts, resources, and tooling
- Establish and monitor warranty cost controls, estimates, budgets, forecasts, cost recovery, and productivity
- Coordinate financial reviews and monitor warranty spend against budget
- Support root cause analysis and identify recurring defect trends
- Conduct weekly warranty meetings with customers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain warranty logs and prepare status reports, dashboards, and metrics
- Document warranty records, correspondence, and decisions
- Support productivity, process improvement, best-practice, and standardization initiatives
- Apply Lean principles to improve workflows and operational discipline
- Support training of Warranty Engineers, CPMs, and process stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited university or college
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry, preferably in services, quality, warranty or field operations
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, BOP systems, and HRSG
- Ability to manage costs, forecasts, schedules and resources while cooperating with and influencing customers and internal stakeholders
- Customer-focused mindset with ability to manage difficult conversations and maintain professional relationships under pressure
- Ability to travel to domestic and international destinations to attend customer sites or GE facilities
- Field experience with gas/steam turbines, generators, or other heavy-duty power generation equipment
- Familiarity with field service execution, including labor, tooling, and third-party vendor management
- Warranty management background and strong commercial acumen
- Experience reading and interpreting commercial/technical contracts and warranty provisions
- Ability to perform or coordinate root cause analysis and failure mode investigations
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a global, matrixed organization
- Data-driven decision-making ability in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, under tight deadlines and pressure
- Use of AI-based tools to enhance productivity
