About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the installed fleet through customer issue resolution
Manage fleet-wide issues
Implement service bulletins
Perform monitoring and diagnostics
Manage fleet configuration
Maintain fleet data and ensure its accuracy and integrity
Manage outages
Provide technical engineering solutions, repairs, and escalation for problematic issues escalated from the Services team
Resolve technical customer issues and support wind turbine availability and production objectives
Enhance services technology by integrating customer data, reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters
Serve as the central point of contact for technical customer inquiries
Communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
Consult senior team members on issues outside defined instructions or parameters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in the Wind Turbine Industry
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Experience with mechanical subsystems of a wind turbine, such as gearbox, main bearing, pitch bearing, bolted joints, and yaw system
Willing and able to climb and work at heights as needed (5-10% of the time)
Ability to present technical data in a succinct and clear manner
Technical versatility and experience with wind turbine production and performance
Ability to learn technology outside of one's specialty
Strong project management skills
