About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead direct reports and supervise and coordinate the Protection and Control design team
  • Serve as technical referent for the team
  • Participate in and/or lead annual performance feedback, communication, training, and personal development plans
  • Assist lead engineers during project launching phases
  • Control engineering process follow-up
  • Ensure proper management of interfaces with partners and main suppliers
  • Support development of quality procedures and processes
  • Organize knowhow capitalization, lessons learned, and return of experience to improve engineering efficiency
  • Manage a small to medium team of P&C engineers and designers
  • Influence strategy for the area of responsibility, including resource control
  • Ensure compliance with Company BMS procedures, Engineering Management Handbook, industry standards, safety codes, regulatory requirements, and construction codes
  • Develop process improvements using team feedback and drive team engagement
  • Define and follow up on personal development actions for team members
  • Supervise development of high-quality design templates and tools for the secondary design engineering team and business
  • Potentially lead small to medium-sized projects with limited risks and complexities
  • Support the Engineering Manager with operational, technology, and engineering decisions and complex tasks
  • Assess information quality, ask pertinent stakeholder questions, and recommend solutions
  • Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services based on business challenges and industry trends
  • Communicate difficult concepts and influence viewpoints
  • Promote and drive use of GEC Noida teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Engineering
  • Must be Member of Standards Committee such as IEEE or show willingness to become one
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Established project engineering and management skills
  • Ownership and accountability, judgment and decision making, passion for the functional role and knowledge sharing
  • Ability to work under pressure and comfort with change and complexity in dynamic environments
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
