About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the technical sales strategy for conventional nuclear controls upgrade opportunities
- Lead technical evaluations contributing to nuclear controls orders and opportunity pipeline growth
- Review customer specifications and requests for proposals
- Support definition of standardized offerings for non-safety-related nuclear controls upgrades
- Support pre-sales technical discussions and strategic deal development
- Provide technical insight on GE Vernova products and services
- Collect voice of customer and respond to technical inquiries on submitted proposals
- Conduct site surveys of existing systems
- Present case studies, demos, and product solutions at industry user conferences
- Provide feedback to commercial and product management organizations
- Understand customer business goals, operating objectives, and control system risks
- Customize GE Vernova Software & Control Solutions to meet customer needs
- Research competitors’ regional value propositions and go-to-market approaches
- Support development of sales and solutions strategies
- Serve as regional reference point for nuclear industry technical queries
- Establish relationships with key customers
- Lead multidisciplinary application teams responding to customer technical specifications
- Coordinate with Controls Engineering Technical Leaders and Product Design Owners
- Develop clear, compliant, and competitive technical responses
- Define engineering effort and material requirements
- Own the Technical Application Guide definition for nuclear controls applications
- Create and maintain Technical Application Guides covering engineering design effort, material/hardware definitions, proposal language, and technical quoting limits
- Support commercialization of new nuclear controls product designs
- Support continuous improvement of Technical Application Guides through project reviews with commercial, project management, engineering, and field service teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry work experience with control system applications or controls project execution
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the nuclear industry
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Experience supporting nuclear power plant modernization or control system upgrade projects
- Experience in plant operations and control system design for conventional nuclear power plant systems
- Knowledge of relevant nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory expectations
- GE Vernova Mark VIe / EX2100e Control System knowledge and experience
- Significant experience in technical application/proposal engineering
- Strong understanding of control system architecture, instrumentation, HMI systems, cyber security, and integration principles
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop practical engineering responses
- High attention to detail in technical proposal development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills with internal technical and commercial teams
- Demonstrated ability to meet agreed-upon goals and measurements
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management environment
- Experience interfacing with all levels of internal and external customers
- Strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong process discipline with sound analytical skills
- Strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability
- Comfort working across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders
