About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overall technical leadership and front-line supervision for complex nuclear field services projects involving BWR 2-6 reactor disassembly, assembly, fuel movement, in-core maintenance, and under-vessel activities
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver field projects during customer yearly outages
  • Manage projects, lead tasks, provide technical direction, coordinate work, and supervise GEH and contracted work teams at customer sites
  • Plan, schedule, track, report, and coordinate internal and external resources for assigned projects and programs
  • Lead and supervise GEH, contingent worker, and craft labor personnel
  • Interact with senior customer and supplier management on commercial, technical, and compliance issues within an integrated services team
  • Support proposal preparation, cost estimating, and interfaces with Customer Service and Commercial Operations
  • Participate in personnel planning, staffing, and training
  • Provide tooling and equipment expertise
  • Gather customer information and use it to improve products and services
  • Maintain integrity, safety, and quality metrics and processes
  • Support product lines within the broader Field Services organization as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree of Science in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years of First Line Supervisor experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of Technical First Line Supervisor experience, OR previous technical military experience with a minimum of 3 years of First Line Supervisor experience
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability and willingness to climb and descend 10 flights of stairs twice per day
  • Ability and willingness to pass respirator fit test and physical
  • Ability and willingness to pass Fitness For Duty and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
  • Ability and willingness to work under high-stress conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to plant sites up to 75% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, including up to 12-hour days and consistent weekend work during customer projects
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information may require authorization from the U.S. Government
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Desired: Knowledge of nuclear power plant refueling and under-vessel activities
  • Desired: Knowledge of BWR vessels and components, NSSS, and reactor containment buildings
  • Desired: Strong computer skills and ability to use MS Office, MS Project, and E-Matrix Database
