About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities
- Install systems and equipment on site
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation
- Respond to emergency repair and service requests
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives at customer sites
- Write technical reports and prepare job status and customer reports
- Order materials and secure quotations
- Complete time sheets and expense sheets accurately and promptly
- Sign off on implemented changes
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages
- Prepare technical reports for customer records and future outages
- Ensure all required parts are shipped to the site
- Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level
- Supervise critical tasks performed by third parties, including measurements and dimensional checks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in a Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance role
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time
- Experience working on customer sites preferred
- Technically oriented, fast learner, and self-starter
- Understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters or Steam Boiler Operational Principles preferred
- Strong technical skill reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams
- Knowledge of dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen as applicable
