About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide contract leadership and subject-matter expertise for commercial and government project teams across the Power Conversion and Storage portfolio
- Support proposal activities by analyzing RFPs, completing contract reviews and compliance matrices, assessing financial and business risks, participating in proposal meetings, and preparing terms, conditions, and assumptions
- Partner with commercial teams and customers to clarify contract terms and applicable regulations
- Support project teams during contract execution to ensure compliance with contract terms and government regulations
- Develop solutions to contracting issues throughout the acquisition cycle
- Prepare subcontractor and supplier flow-down packages and manage subcontractors and suppliers during execution
- Ensure FAR, DFARS, DEARS, and other commercial and government flow-down requirements are met
- Establish and maintain government property records and tracking systems
- Audit the property management system according to company procedures and government regulations
- Coordinate physical property inventories and reconcile results for compliance with FAR 52.245
- Provide contractual accountability reports, including DD 1662
- Coordinate property disposition according to contractual requirements
- Facilitate DCAA/DCMA property-management audits and champion corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in government and commercial contract formation and execution
- U.S. citizenship
- Not eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship
- Domain expertise in commercial terms and conditions, UCC, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Parts 12 and 15, and DoD FAR Supplement
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and contract change management
- Experience administering or executing a FAR 52.245-compliant government property management system
- Ability to draft and negotiate contractual language
- Desired professional certification by NCMA, NPMA, or the U.S. government contracts field
- Power industry contracting experience interfacing with commercial and government customers or prime contractors
- Extensive knowledge of contract formation and regulations
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to work independently and cohesively with teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex contractual issues
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to manage projects and assignments within tight deadlines
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
