About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build tender integrated schedules and cost estimates
  • Build project schedules and budgets using cost and schedule tools
  • Ensure compliance with Global Standard Project Controls processes
  • Align project budgets with as-sold values in appropriate systems
  • Maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and registers of schedule/cost risks and actual/committed costs
  • Analyze schedule and cost trends and provide forecasts to the project team
  • Check cost movements against scope, progress, previous forecasts, and productivity factors
  • Communicate schedule, cost, forecast, and risk status to functional cost owners and support mitigation
  • Provide internal and external project status reporting
  • Collaborate with third parties on project costs and schedules
  • Present financial data and cost status during project and management reviews
  • Calculate change orders and update systems to align costs with current conditions
  • Reconcile approved project financial data with the books in partnership with the Finance Controller
  • Support project closeout, claims, and tenders
  • Oversee project planning and ensure quality and accuracy of project controls reporting
  • Drive cost-reduction strategies with functional cost owners
  • Ensure adherence to WBS, processes, procedures, and tool-usage standards
  • Identify optimization opportunities and participate in Kaizen or similar lean events
  • Participate in safety discussions and resolve or improve health and safety issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree qualified in finance or engineering with financial training
  • 5+ years planning large turnkey projects
  • Cost controlling experience on 2+ large turnkey projects
  • Lead planner experience on 2+ turnkey projects
  • Deep knowledge of planning and Primavera
  • Knowledge of cost control for large, complex turnkey projects
  • Knowledge of forensic analysis on large, complex turnkey projects
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
