About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive customer order fulfillment excellence across the controls services lifecycle, from order inquiry through customer acceptance and commercial operation
- Support requisition, design, structuring, validation, and commissioning of steam turbine control system components for nuclear and fossil steam turbines
- Own technical scope execution, controls system project design, and implementation into production
- Identify and mitigate technical risks across the complete controls scope
- Provide technical ownership for high-risk and complex projects
- Support commercial teams with technical inputs for customer proposals
- Support and influence new product development and product-sustaining requirements definition
- Drive architecture, top-level design, verification, validation, and commissioning requirements for global functional engineers
- Ensure system safety, function, performance, interface, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met
- Support comprehensive system verification, validation, customer testing, site installation, startup, and commissioning plans
- Coordinate customer requirements and task flow-down and ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Support Project Engineers in customer discussions and reviews
- Drive consistent solutions across controls scope
- Apply and enforce Mark VIe controls platform software, design practices, and engineering processes
- Provide customer support related to products
- Ensure compliance with internal and industry technical regulations, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external customers and maintain responsive working relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of design experience in steam turbine controls engineering
- Strong understanding of steam turbine and plant systems operation and integration with other systems
- Proven strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong experience with Mark VIe ControlST and Cimplicity software suites
- Experience with use and maintenance of control application software libraries
- Ability to apply engineering principles to analyze, design, and troubleshoot steam turbine control-system retrofit systems
- Experience in power generation projects, working with customers, project management, and/or EPCs
- Ability to meet goals and objectives
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
