About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take ownership of the most challenging technical escalations and provide troubleshooting strategies and engineering solutions

  • Author technical bulletins, playbooks, and best-practice guides
  • Analyze fleet performance data to forecast reliability trends and identify emerging risks
  • Serve as the lead technical contact for Product Engineering and R&D teams
  • Ensure field performance insights inform future turbine design and service offerings
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct technical peer reviews
  • Travel more than 15% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred
  • Solid and strong experience in Gear Boxes mechanical engineering, fleet performance, or advanced services engineering
  • Deep expertise in turbine thermodynamics, rotor dynamics, or thermal-mechanical fatigue and their impact on long-term fleet operation
  • Demonstrated mastery of formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability engineering principles
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct management authority
  • Ability to translate complex technical data into executive-level recommendations and customer-facing communications
  • Significant experience with wind turbine fleet performance monitoring tools and big-data analytics preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes related to turbine life cycle preferred
  • Experience representing the company as a technical lead in customer-facing resolution meetings preferred
  • Published internal/external technical papers or patents related to turbine reliability or mechanical performance preferred
  • Continuous improvement mindset and teamwork spirit
  • Capacity to climb wind turbine nacelles
  • Able to travel >15% of the time
