About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire bid process for Grid Automation, from analyzing client requests through submitting proposals
- Analyze customer needs and RFQs to define products, services, and solutions across DS Agile, G500, GPG, AAA, Cyber Security, MiCOM, and Multilin portfolios
- Package solutions with Telecom and M&D scopes where required
- Ensure compliant offers meet technical specifications and tender requirements
- Identify and flag key risks and maintain mitigation plans in the Risk & Opportunity register
- Manage and implement Return of Experience activities
- Align proposals with commercial and execution strategies
- Obtain technical derogations and approvals where applicable
- Complete site assessments for brownfield and existing substations
- Maintain typical circuits, schemes, and solutions in the tendering tool
- Meet technical and commercial offer schedules while maintaining bid quality
- Review and respond to technical bid clarifications and present solutions to customers
- Support order booking, budget margins, and the Operations turnover process
- Support Sales in commercial and technical customer meetings and negotiations
- Manage bid phases in compliance with company policies and instructions
- Conduct internal tender reviews with stakeholders
- Conduct transfer meetings and hand over documents to Operations
- Review tender hit rate and analyze commercial and technical bid wins and losses
- Prepare and review cost and price calculations
- Obtain and update third-party product/system quotes in the tendering tool
- Ensure correct costing in the estimation tool
- Challenge product, solution, and delivery costs and perform risk analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tendering, commercial, or engineering functions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Grid Automation business
- Protection and DCS/SCS knowledge required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10–15% of the time based on business needs
- Telecom and M&D knowledge is a plus
- Understanding of MENAT customer requirements and specifications
- Understanding of commercial contracting guidelines
- Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
- French and Arabic would be a plus
- Proactive approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
