About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead assigned Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Blade projects from planning through closeout
- Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, customer satisfaction, and contractual compliance
- Champion safety culture and lead project EHS performance and corrective action closure
- Ensure compliance with GE Vernova standards, customer requirements, regulatory obligations, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll processes
- Maintain audit-ready project documentation and own quality records, inspection documentation, punch lists, and final customer acceptance
- Develop execution plans, lead kickoff meetings, monitor progress, manage risks and recovery plans, and conduct project reviews
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, invoicing support, change orders, and cost recovery opportunities
- Serve as the primary customer-facing representative, lead status meetings, provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve concerns
- Coordinate subcontractors, crane providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers
- Partner with scheduling and resource management teams on staffing, equipment, mobilization, tooling, crane planning, logistics, outage planning, and site readiness
- Lead lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
- Develop future project leaders and foster collaboration across functional teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline; equivalent field experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lift operations, field services, or related industries
- Experience managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or similar large-scale field operations
- Working knowledge of crane operations, lift planning, rigging practices, and site logistics
- Experience supporting projects within prevailing wage environments
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and project management tools
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred
- Experience with wind turbine major component exchanges preferred
- Experience with blade repair or blade replacement projects preferred
- Knowledge of labor compliance and certified payroll processes preferred
- Experience managing subcontracted workforces preferred
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training preferred
- Experience working directly with utility-scale renewable energy customers preferred
