About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced technical managers and technologists
  • Grow technical expertise and expand skills in new areas
  • Complete technically challenging engineering assignments in the power generation industry
  • Perform design and analysis of product lines including steam turbines, gas turbines, gas engines, and generators
  • Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements
  • Work with drafting teams to create or update drawings
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to solve problems arising from complex manufacturing processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have one to two semesters remaining before graduation
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program
  • Eligible majors: Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be able to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA without rounding
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and high degree of curiosity
  • Willingness and ability to learn from others
  • Willingness to make and learn from mistakes
  • Excellent organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to be a team player
  • Academic excellence and great initiative
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
