About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic partner and coach to HD Services ITR Engineering leadership
  • Support execution of the Engineering improvement roadmap and value stream priorities
  • Identify performance gaps and execute initiatives improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity
  • Drive Lean initiatives and Kaizen events aligned with Global Services Engineering priorities
  • Drive Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Standard Work development, and other Lean activities
  • Coach leaders and teams in Lean principles, problem solving, visual management, and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate Monthly Operating Reviews and ensure timely completion of improvement actions
  • Facilitate Problem Solving Reviews, A3s, PDCA activities, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Improve operational metrics through structured Lean methods and data-driven decision making
  • Track execution status, realized benefits, and sustainment of Lean initiatives
  • Champion standardized processes, Leader Standard Work, and Daily Management practices
  • Share successful Lean practices and lessons learned across Engineering organizations
  • Develop Lean capability through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on facilitation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power plant engineering or related technologies
  • Proven experience driving Lean deployment, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation initiatives
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, and structured problem solving
  • Proven ability to coach leaders and influence change within a matrixed engineering or operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into measurable improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives while driving execution and sustaining results
  • Deep Lean expertise in engineering, manufacturing, or service environments
  • Experience coaching leaders in Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and visual management
  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies including PDCA, A3, DMAIC, or TOPS 8D
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build partnerships across engineering and business organizations
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Passion for developing Lean capability and fostering continuous improvement
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
