About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the FACTS technical team in finding the best solution for customers
Cost the entire solution according to the defined execution and commercial strategy
Define the technical execution strategy with technical and operations teams
Support commercial operations, finance, legal, and account management stakeholders
Coordinate bid development within the Product Delivery Group and involved regions during the inquiry-to-order phase
Develop proposals and manage risks and mitigation plans
Ensure GE Grid Solutions offers meet customer requirements and company governance standards
Complete the approval process and submit offers
Challenge the status quo to find the best technical solution
Ensure a clean handoff to the execution team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced experience in tendering and proposals
Knowledge comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience
At least 2 years' experience in solution business or turnkey tenders for the transmission or FACTS market
Ability to structure creative customer solutions
Ability to negotiate contracts and work effectively with diverse customers and partners
Experience reviewing customer specifications and terms and conditions
Experience developing proposals
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Fluent written and spoken English
Strong organization and multitasking capability
Ability to perform effectively in a matrix-management environment
Ability to manage temporary high workload
Availability to travel as needed
Strong negotiation skills
For U.S.-based positions, legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
