About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the installed wind turbine fleet through customer issue resolution, fleet-wide issue management, service bulletin implementation, monitoring and diagnostics, and fleet configuration
  • Maintain fleet data, manage outages, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of fleet information
  • Provide technical engineering solutions, repairs, and escalations for problematic issues escalated from the Services team
  • Resolve technical customer issues and help deliver wind turbine availability and production objectives
  • Enhance services technology by integrating customer data, reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters
  • Serve as the central point of contact for customer technical inquiries
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
  • Consult senior team members on issues outside defined instructions or parameters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in the Wind Turbine Industry
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing and able to climb and work at heights as needed 5–10% of the time
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Experience with mechanical wind turbine subsystems, such as gearboxes, main bearings, pitch bearings, bolted joints, and yaw systems
  • Ability to present technical data succinctly and clearly
  • Technical versatility and experience with wind turbine production and performance
  • Ability to learn technology outside one’s specialty
  • Strong project management skills
  • Successful completion of a drug screen as applicable
