About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the installed wind turbine fleet through customer issue resolution, fleet-wide issue management, service bulletin implementation, monitoring and diagnostics, and fleet configuration
Maintain fleet data, manage outages, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of fleet information
Provide technical engineering solutions, repairs, and escalations for problematic issues escalated from the Services team
Resolve technical customer issues and help deliver wind turbine availability and production objectives
Enhance services technology by integrating customer data, reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters
Serve as the central point of contact for customer technical inquiries
Communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
Consult senior team members on issues outside defined instructions or parameters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in the Wind Turbine Industry
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Willing and able to climb and work at heights as needed 5–10% of the time
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Experience with mechanical wind turbine subsystems, such as gearboxes, main bearings, pitch bearings, bolted joints, and yaw systems
Ability to present technical data succinctly and clearly
Technical versatility and experience with wind turbine production and performance
Ability to learn technology outside one’s specialty
Strong project management skills
Successful completion of a drug screen as applicable
