About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation
Serve as technical leader/manager to develop scopes of work and schedules and monitor engineering activities for customer projects
Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, and engineering subcontractors
Execute policies and strategies using prior experience and technical expertise
Integrate team work with other teams and contribute to the broader area
Propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance
Solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training
Use internal sources and technical/analytical skills to make decisions
Provide informal guidance to new team members
Support GE Vernova's mission to electrify the world and help decarbonize it

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology and Customer Project Engineering
For roles outside the USA: knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience, or equivalent experience
For roles in the USA: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Proven interpersonal skills or experience as an early people leader able to hire and develop talent
