About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the lead technical point of contact for customers throughout North America
- Build long-term partnerships with customer engineering and operations teams
- Lead technical discussions for issue resolution and responses to RFIs/RFQs
- Represent GE Vernova's technical capabilities and product value proposition
- Maintain ongoing post-commissioning technical relationships and act as an escalation point
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for power conversion systems, inverters, and BESS
- Monitor system performance and identify reliability, availability, and efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with service teams to resolve post-commissioning technical issues
- Address technical deviations and track fault reports through closure
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to site engineers
- Conduct technical reviews and site visits
- Document field findings, resolutions, and lessons learned
- Communicate customer requirements and field feedback internally
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, and Leadership
- Produce technical documentation, site assessments, RCA summaries, and customer-facing specifications
- Maintain records of technical issues, performance trends, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Contribute to commissioning procedures, field service guidelines, and internal knowledge resources
- Report account technical status, field issues, and customer health indicators to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 6 years of relevant engineering experience in power systems or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership in technical customer-facing environments
- Fluency in English, verbal and written
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually
- Practical experience with industrial inverters, UPS systems, rectifiers, and power electronics
- Experience in high-availability, mission-critical settings
- Experience leading or supporting commissioning of complex power conversion and storage systems
- Experience with system integration, functional testing, and customer acceptance
- Experience managing technical customer relationships, leading design and operational reviews, and representing technical capabilities externally
- Experience with power monitoring platforms and energy management tools preferred
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, and ASHRAE preferred
- Prior field engineering, application engineering, or technical account management experience preferred
- Experience with GE Vernova or equivalent power conversion and energy storage product lines preferred
- Experience with large-scale industrial or utility-scale operators preferred
