About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the short-term transformation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise-wide ERM framework
  • Develop and maintain ERM policies, procedures, risk taxonomy, rating scales, and governance processes
  • Integrate ERM strategically with corporate strategy and business decision-making
  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative risk identification, assessment, prioritization, and aggregation
  • Develop and use data analytics, key risk indicators, dashboards, and supporting tools
  • Evaluate risk mitigation strategies and controls and recommend improvements
  • Communicate risk information through executive communications, governance forums, and targeted education
  • Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory developments in energy and adjacent industries
  • Provide strategic oversight of ERM technology, data, analytics, AI, risk systems, reporting tools, and automation
  • Lead and mentor the risk management team
  • Advise executive leadership and support Board-level committees on enterprise, strategic, operational, and emerging risks
  • Collaborate with business segments and functions including Power, Wind, Electrification, strategy, supply chain, finance, legal and compliance, human resources, and internal audit

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as CERA, CRM, FRM, PRM, or similar preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise risk management, governance, audit, compliance, or related disciplines within complex, large-scale organizations
  • Minimum 8 years in a leadership role with accountability for enterprise-wide programs and outcomes
  • Expertise designing, implementing, and operating an enterprise risk management program aligned with COSO ERM and ISO 31000
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide risk, governance, or operating-model transformations
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and align diverse cross-functional teams across geographies and business lines
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex risk information and data into executive-level insights and actionable recommendations
  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization
  • Understanding of regional and international risk considerations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with advanced risk management software, analytics tools, and data visualization platforms
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
