About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute Emergent Repair programs to resolve complex issues and return turbines to service
- Collaborate with the Root Cause Analysis team to develop long-term corrective-action repairs
- Identify and develop programs to reduce time required to return units to service
- Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide design decisions for current products, new products, and commercial deals
- Lead technical program teams on system trade-offs and optimizations focused on safety and reducing Services costs
- Analyze, prepare, and present technical material and recommendations to internal and external audiences
- Lead Services investments from pre-conceptual design through design, validation, and launch
- Prioritize and manage risks involving safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Manage program requirements and requirement flow-down to optimize product offering and competitiveness
- Work with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements, and standard work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
- Ability to break down complex issues and determine possible courses of action
- System or product-level mindset
- Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience
- Wind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance, or repairs
- Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
