About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform turnkey installation and termination of electrical conduit, stainless steel tubing, power/communication cabling, and hardware from customer transformer cabinets to GE monitoring and diagnostic products
- Deliver onsite and remote service support for customer questions and concerns
- Install and service transformer monitoring equipment
- Manage installation projects and coordinate with customer contacts and internal GE Sales and Service teams
- Troubleshoot and perform fault finding to the printed circuit board level
- Liaise with customers on job planning, execution, follow-up, and sales support
- Conduct field work in compliance with applicable EHS regulations and employee safety practices
- Serve as the primary technical resource for onsite work and resolve engineering and product issues
- Provide technical direction to skilled labor on customer sites and equipment
- Provide installation and service direction onsite and remotely, including repairs, replacements, and rebuilds across equipment vintages, sizes, and applications
- Provide timely, accurate, professional internal and external reports
- Provide, audit, and implement quality-control requirements for onsite repairs and upgrades
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with 5 years of Field Services and Maintenance experience
- Minimum of 2 years of advanced experience in Services and On-Site Services
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
