About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform turnkey installation and termination of electrical conduit, stainless steel tubing, power/communication cabling, and hardware from customer transformer cabinets to GE monitoring and diagnostic products
Deliver onsite and remote service support for customer questions and concerns
Install and service transformer monitoring equipment
Manage installation projects and coordinate with customer contacts and internal GE Sales and Service teams
Troubleshoot and perform fault finding to the printed circuit board level
Liaise with customers on job planning, execution, follow-up, and sales support
Conduct field work in compliance with applicable EHS regulations and employee safety practices
Serve as the primary technical resource for onsite work and resolve engineering and product issues
Provide technical direction to skilled labor on customer sites and equipment
Provide installation and service direction onsite and remotely, including repairs, replacements, and rebuilds across equipment vintages, sizes, and applications
Provide timely, accurate, professional internal and external reports
Provide, audit, and implement quality-control requirements for onsite repairs and upgrades

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with 5 years of Field Services and Maintenance experience
Minimum of 2 years of advanced experience in Services and On-Site Services
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
