About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, respond to, and manage service needs of Hydro Power Plant owners within the West Service Hub geographical area
Participate in commercial strategy to develop Services activities in collaboration with the sales manager and Services regional leader
Conduct site visits and client meetings
Listen to customer needs, detect client issues, and promote appropriate technical solutions
Deliver Services commercial and technical proposals with support from the Services regional team
Manage service projects and drive execution according to time, quality, and cost commitments
Serve as the main point of contact for customers during project execution
Build strong relationships with GE Vernova clients and demonstrate successful job execution
Coordinate with hub engineering, Quality, field operations, and sourcing representatives during bid and project stages

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or business administration
Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Experience in project management, including small-size, fast-track, or services projects
Experience in the rotating machines industry
Experience in customer negotiations
Ability and willingness to travel to Hydro Power Plants 30% of the time
Experience in a commercial or commercial proposal development role desired
Engineering or field operations experience valued
Knowledge of Hydro customers in the area valued
Service mindset and customer focus
High responsiveness and agility
Proactive, flexible, and autonomous working style
Problem-solving orientation and independence
Business acumen
Leadership capabilities to energize the local team and create positive momentum
Comfort with IT tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
Full professional proficiency in English
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
