About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned steam turbine component projects
- Independently design and deliver steam turbine solutions for unique and complex applications
- Support Steam Turbine Conversion, Modification, and Upgrade (CM&U) delivery through component design and analysis
- Apply steam turbine expertise to execute assignments with high quality and on-time delivery
- Evaluate technical issues, propose solutions, and resolve straightforward to moderately complex problems
- Work across internal teams and use multiple technical inputs to support engineering decisions
- Coach newer engineers and provide informal guidance
- Create and share technical resources, best practices, and lessons learned
- Identify improvements to steam turbine designs, processes, and methodologies
- Recommend and apply improved technical approaches and standards
- Plan and execute assigned work within established engineering practices and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
- Solid experience in design, service, maintenance, or operations of large rotating industrial equipment
- Experience in steam turbine components, steam turbine design, or related mechanical systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
