About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned steam turbine component projects
Independently design and deliver steam turbine solutions for unique and complex applications
Support Steam Turbine Conversion, Modification, and Upgrade (CM&U) delivery through component design and analysis
Apply steam turbine expertise to execute assignments with high quality and on-time delivery
Evaluate technical issues, propose solutions, and resolve straightforward to moderately complex problems
Work across internal teams and use multiple technical inputs to support engineering decisions
Coach newer engineers and provide informal guidance
Create and share technical resources, best practices, and lessons learned
Identify improvements to steam turbine designs, processes, and methodologies
Recommend and apply improved technical approaches and standards
Plan and execute assigned work within established engineering practices and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
Solid experience in design, service, maintenance, or operations of large rotating industrial equipment
Experience in steam turbine components, steam turbine design, or related mechanical systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
Continuous improvement mindset
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
