About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for execution of Core Verification and IVVI using the Overwatch tool.
  • Subject matter expert focused on tooling fabrication, procurement, procedure management, and outage execution at both boiling water reactors and pressurized water reactors.
  • Provide successful execution of complex projects involving BWR 2-6 In Service Inspection (ISI), including in-vessel visual technology tooling and services along with core verification and reactor service maintenance activities.
  • Provide direct oversight to Overwatch Tooling Refurbishments.
  • Seek new technologies to upgrade or replace the aging fleet of tools.
  • Support Capital Investment strategy for fleet expansion in both BWR and PWR markets.
  • Continue to own Continuous Improvement of Overwatch processes.
  • Support the process of tooling conceptual design, field delivery and beyond.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage.
  • Work with field services training and staffing team to build out field execution teams, the SME will be the lead instructor for training courses.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Convey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited college/university -OR- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in BWR maintenance management or inspection services
  • Frequent travel (up to 75%)
  • Willingness to work in radiation-controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas
  • Knowledge of GEH Nuclear Energy products, processes, customers, markets, and competition.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Strong strategic development and execution skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in working with in the Inspection Services field.
  • Strong customer focus mind-set and commercial knowledge.
  • Experience and knowledge around BWR reactor internals and GEH In Vessel Visual tooling.
  • Familiar with GEH B03, EC and Inventory processes
  • Proven record in driving process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
