About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the quality operating rhythm for the Fossil Americas, including reporting, trend analysis, and action planning for customer experience, nonconformances, cost of poor quality, audits, and corrective actions
Drive robust nonconformance management, including increased issue capture, effective containment, timely resolution, and closure discipline
Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, and other structured problem-solving tools
Partner with operating leaders and cross-functional teams to identify recurring issues, prioritize improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable countermeasures
Apply lean principles and quality planning & control methods to eliminate waste and improve process capability and operational execution
Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost in support of customer and business outcomes
Monitor quality trends and risks across field service, repairs, parts, and operations, and escalate systemic issues as needed
Ensure effective use of quality systems and tools, such as PowerNow Platform for NCR’s and RCA’s
Support audit readiness, compliance to procedures and standards, and sustainment of process improvements
Coach teams in quality fundamentals, problem solving, and prevention-based thinking to strengthen a culture of quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Proven & relevant experience in quality in manufacturing, or field service, or operations, or continuous improvement within power generation, energy, heavy industrial, or a related industry
Demonstrated experience leading nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes
Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Ability and willingness to travel domestically approximately 10–30%
