About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the quality operating rhythm for the Fossil Americas, including reporting, trend analysis, and action planning for customer experience, nonconformances, cost of poor quality, audits, and corrective actions
- Drive robust nonconformance management, including increased issue capture, effective containment, timely resolution, and closure discipline
- Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, and other structured problem-solving tools
- Partner with operating leaders and cross-functional teams to identify recurring issues, prioritize improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable countermeasures
- Apply lean principles and quality planning & control methods to eliminate waste and improve process capability and operational execution
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost in support of customer and business outcomes
- Monitor quality trends and risks across field service, repairs, parts, and operations, and escalate systemic issues as needed
- Ensure effective use of quality systems and tools, such as PowerNow Platform for NCR’s and RCA’s
- Support audit readiness, compliance to procedures and standards, and sustainment of process improvements
- Coach teams in quality fundamentals, problem solving, and prevention-based thinking to strengthen a culture of quality
- Support Quality Manager for Industrial Segment as part of Business Operations One Team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Proven & relevant experience in quality in manufacturing, or field service, or operations, or continuous improvement within power generation, energy, heavy industrial, or a related industry
- Demonstrated experience leading nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes
- Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically approximately 10–30%
