About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- lead the execution of Simple and Combined Cycle projects within our Heavy Duty Gas Power business
- accountable for the full project lifecycle, from contract signing through completion of all contractual obligations
- ensure customer satisfaction by effectively managing project activities, resources, timelines, and cross-functional teams
- drive successful delivery of customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects
- carry responsibility for project delivery, profit and loss performance, and adherence to budgets and operating plans
- develop early execution strategies in partnership with the ITO Commercial Manager and ensure successful transition into project execution
- manage project execution with an SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) lens
- promote and drive GEV’s Safety Toolkit on project teams, partners, and subcontractors
- lead teams to develop creative solutions within complex manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
- collaborate closely with partnering functions to resolve cross-functional issues and execution constraints
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 8 years of Project Management experience within Energy, Construction, or large capital project environments
- Must be willing to travel up to 40% of time
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of large capital project execution costs and estimates
- Certified Project Management Professional
- Graduate of the Field Engineer or Project Management Leadership Program
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple phased projects simultaneously and independently
- Demonstrated strong customer focus and the ability to foster strong relationships
- Experience working with and influencing senior level leaders
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, business and financial acumen
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages
- An inclusive style and strong interpersonal and leadership skills at all levels to gain acceptance and buy in from other matrix functions to accomplish goals
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface at all organizational levels
