About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the software development team responsible for the Device Management product.
  • Ensure delivery of software features, releases, and product maintenance.
  • Plan and coordinate development activities across distributed teams, in collaboration with the DVM project manager.
  • Work closely with product management to translate requirements into development plans and technical solutions.
  • Ensure high quality, maintainability, and reliability of the software product.
  • Guide technical decisions and support the team in software design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with software architecture, QA, UX, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment with common practices and platform architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with software development processes, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and release procedures.
  • Manage technical risks, technical debt, and system improvements.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting complex technical issues and customer problems when necessary.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing software engineering team.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members.
  • Foster collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to long-term planning of the technical and product roadmap.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12–15 years of software development experience, with experience in technical leadership or team management roles.
  • Strong backend/server software development experience with technologies such as Java, C#, or similar.
  • Experience working with distributed systems, client-server architectures, or large-scale device management systems.
  • Experience with databases, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
  • Experience leading distributed or international software development teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
