About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic partnership for a significant business in the Power segment
  • Drive commercial growth, profitability, and cash generation
  • Own financial outcomes, including commercial and operational portfolio performance
  • Oversee risk finance, portfolio health, productivity, cost management, FP&A, and controllership
  • Translate concepts into strategy, implement change, and create responsive programs
  • Develop, implement, and measure operating plans, including strategy, budgets, and quarterly forecasts
  • Drive financial performance improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, productivity, labor efficiency, contract asset reduction, inventory reduction, and restructuring
  • Ensure key processes and controls support a world-class financial operation
  • Partner with the CEO, Regional GMs, and CFOs to drive profitable growth and business targets
  • Participate in business deal reviews and deal approval meetings using a balanced risk/reward approach
  • Keep senior management informed of material developments
  • Communicate business performance and identify growth accelerators
  • Provide performance analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Recommend actions to maximize cash, profitability, and fleet risk management
  • Drive excellence in controllership and adherence to GE Vernova policies and internal controls
  • Ensure appropriate capital allocation for Capex and R&D
  • Identify, develop, and recruit Finance talent
  • Lead and develop the team to simplify processes and create standard policies
  • Guide creative solutions to complex problems and evaluate conflicting data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 14 years of experience in the relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance
  • 5+ years of experience leading finance teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Strategic thinking and ability to create and execute concrete action plans
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize under pressure
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop finance teams
  • Strong demonstration of the GE Vernova Way Principles
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to innovate to resolve problems
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility
