Key responsibilities & impact

Design and analyze thermal/fluid aspects of heavy-duty gas turbine rotating and stationary hardware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the full product life cycle
Document, report, and review designs and analyses with team members, internal customers, and leadership
Support gas turbine design activities from early conceptual design through final detailed design
Support gas turbine engine testing including test planning, execution and monitoring, and post-test validation analyses
Address manufacturing issues, improve product cost and durability, and resolve customer issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar)
Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience
At least 3 years of engineering design experience in gas turbine engines
Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on thermal sciences
Demonstrated understanding of heat transfer design methods, gas turbine systems, and aerodynamics
Experience with relevant design/analysis tools including CAD (NX), FEA (Ansys), and CFD
