About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and analyze thermal/fluid aspects of heavy-duty gas turbine rotating and stationary hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the full product life cycle
- Document, report, and review designs and analyses with team members, internal customers, and leadership
- Support gas turbine design activities from early conceptual design through final detailed design
- Support gas turbine engine testing including test planning, execution and monitoring, and post-test validation analyses
- Address manufacturing issues, improve product cost and durability, and resolve customer issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience
- At least 3 years of engineering design experience in gas turbine engines
- Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on thermal sciences
- Demonstrated understanding of heat transfer design methods, gas turbine systems, and aerodynamics
- Experience with relevant design/analysis tools including CAD (NX), FEA (Ansys), and CFD
