About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for construction services, engineering services, and capital project-related procurement
- Execute sourcing initiatives focused on SQDC objectives and cost-competitive solutions aligned with Business Line imperatives
- Own the subcontractor qualification process, including approval criteria, governance, ongoing performance review, and requalification
- Oversee governance of approved subcontractors, including periodic review, performance monitoring, and corrective action management
- Lead or support RFQ development, bid evaluation, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract award
- Establish fit-for-purpose contract structures, templates, and commercial terms to protect the business and mitigate risk
- Partner with Legal and Contract Management to strengthen contractual protections and reduce exposure to claims, delays, change orders, cost overruns, and supplier non-performance
- Oversee CapEx-related sourcing activities and support capital project execution through supplier engagement, contracting, and commercial oversight
- Lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for engineering service providers
- Support selection, engagement, and performance management of engineering service providers
- Lead or support negotiation of engineering service contracts, framework agreements, and statements of work
- Promote best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across regions and project teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, construction procurement, project procurement, commodity management, or supply chain leadership
- Strong experience in construction services, engineering services, and/or capital project-related procurement
- Demonstrated experience in subcontractor qualification, supplier governance, or procurement process ownership
- Strong contract negotiation, commercial risk management, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams
- MBA or other advanced degree desired
- CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or equivalent certification desired
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment
- Experience in industrial, energy, power, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other project-intensive sectors
- Familiarity with EPC/EPCM models, construction contracting approaches, and capital project execution
- Experience with sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier qualification tools
