About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop packaging, material transportation, material conveyance, & material handling process & equipment standards
- Deploy global standards across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders
- Lead the transformation to move towards automated material transportation solutions including AGVs
- Define, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including: facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improving quality processes
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment
- Participate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Packaging, Material Transport, Material Handling
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
- Project Management skills and experience
- Significant years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality for non-US candidates
- Proven knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes for non-US candidates
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics for non-US candidates
- Project Management skills and experience for non-US candidates
- Fluency in English in writing and speaking
