About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, Qualify, and Improve manufacturing processes
- Define global process standards and equipment standards and deploy them across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders
- Define, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including: facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes
- Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improve quality processes
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate the problems from re-occurring
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment
- Participate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability)
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- 7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Machining processes and equipment (ex: grinding, milling, turning, EDM, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
- Project Management skills and experience
- Fluency in English in writing and speaking
