About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Convening with operations teams, reliability team, consulting field reports and operational data to identify extra work and support mitigation planning for possible emergent issues dealing with generator outages
  • Interface with cross functional teams, research previous outage reports and operational data to develop recommendations
  • Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration
  • Maintenance of fleet data, outage management
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline
  • Serves as best practice/quality resource
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with 3 years of experience dealing with generator outages, design or repair (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience dealing with generator outages, design or repair)
  • Master's degree
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
