About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Convening with operations teams, reliability team, consulting field reports and operational data to identify extra work and support mitigation planning for possible emergent issues dealing with generator outages
- Interface with cross functional teams, research previous outage reports and operational data to develop recommendations
- Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration
- Maintenance of fleet data, outage management
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline
- Serves as best practice/quality resource
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
- Takes new perspective on existing solutions
- Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with 3 years of experience dealing with generator outages, design or repair (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience dealing with generator outages, design or repair)
- Master's degree
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
