About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function
- Interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination
- Manage cross-functional, technology-led, and product-focused programs, including schedule, budget, and tollgate processes for NPI, requisition, and sustaining initiatives
- Oversee resource and budget allocation/integration while ensuring program outputs align with customer Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements
- Serve as the primary interface for contractors, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to drive project alignment and delivery
- Provide direct leadership, including hiring, staffing, and performance management
- Leverage in-depth technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute strategy, proposing innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes and interdependent production cycles
- Act as a subject matter expert, guiding junior team members and leading small-scale, low-risk projects to successful completion
- Synthesize data from multiple internal and external sources to drive informed decisions and achieve team consensus on complex topics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 4+ years of experience in a related Engineering field
- Minimum 1 year of experience within program management
- OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 4+ years of experience related to program management working alongside an engineering organization
- Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing effective, data-driven solutions
- Full-cycle proficiency in documenting, planning, promoting, and executing complex programs
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects from inception to completion
- PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP-level training
