About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the engineering and technical execution of CEMS and Chemical systems for power plant projects.
  • Develop system architecture, functional specifications, component specifications, and ordering documents for CEMS and related plant chemistry packages.
  • Support plant chemistry scope including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle applications.
  • Prepare and maintain core engineering documents such as P&IDs, calculation notes, interface documents, and technical dossiers.
  • Evaluate supplier offers, review supplier documentation, resolve technical queries, and ensure alignment with customer and company standards.
  • Manage technical interfaces across suppliers, customers, project teams, and internal engineering functions.
  • Support tendering activities by reviewing specifications, identifying risks, and defining the technical approach.
  • Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting, including occasional site support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and development initiatives within the CEMS and plant chemistry scope.
  • Perform Laboratory analyses required for development of new technology or troubleshooting of power plants.
  • Travel to power plants all over the world on short notice for troubleshooting and customer support.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in CEMS, plant chemistry, or related power plant systems.
  • Strong experience in emission monitoring systems, including gas analyzers, instrumentation, and package engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of plant chemistry systems, including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle chemistry.
  • Experience developing technical specifications, reviewing supplier documentation, and supporting procurement and execution activities.
  • Experience in laboratory water analyses like ion chromatography.
  • Experience in commissioning support and troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
