About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a portfolio of U.S. utility projects and programs supporting grid modernization, electrification, grid reliability, and infrastructure expansion
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for project managers and project teams
  • Foster a strong people-focused leadership culture emphasizing accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with utility clients to build trusted relationships
  • Own portfolio performance for safety, quality, schedule, cost, cash flow, margins, risk, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain robust portfolio governance
  • Ensure effective execution across the full project lifecycle
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, field operations, commercial, finance, and quality teams
  • Lead portfolio-level risk identification and mitigation
  • Oversee contract administration, change management, claims, and commercial strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading utility, transmission, distribution, substation, grid infrastructure, or high-voltage EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects
  • Proven track record of leading customer-focused project organizations
  • Demonstrated management experience
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, portfolio governance, forecasting, contract management, risk management, and change management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer sponsorship for a work visa
  • Availability and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
