About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

support the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants
manage the quality, cost, and schedule of the execution process
assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings
support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures
ensure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicable
support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
minimum of 2 years managing projects (nuclear preferred but any energy or other large scale projects)
demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM
fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives
financial control knowledge and understanding
demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently
extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
