About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- support a global joint venture between GE and Baker Hughes
- drive financial planning, reporting, income statement analysis, and close processes across the organization
- serve as a key finance partner to product, program, and cross-functional leaders
- provide financial leadership for the Engineering P&L
- act as a central point of coordination for passthrough management among GE Aviation, GE Gas Power, and Baker Hughes
- oversee base cost management and the cost allocation process
- partner closely with cross-functional teams to support ISA/TSA agreements
- manage Digital Technology investments
- collaborate with the Capex Leader to oversee the special tooling process, including investment tracking, reporting, and amortization
- support the Director of FP&A in coordinating key planning cycles
- contribute to the preparation of financial materials for strategic reviews, Board of Directors meetings, closing calls, and leadership presentations
- help enhance the efficiency and consistency of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of finance experience
- Graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP) or a comparable finance leadership program (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and close processes
- Strong expertise with ERP and financial systems, including HFM and Oracle
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated project leadership and process management capabilities
- Proven ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams
- Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge existing processes, and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined
