Lead Systems Engineer – Systems Studies

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret the customer’s technical enquiry and design cost-effective solutions for HVDC installations
- Perform insulation coordination studies, power system simulations, and network studies
- Create reliability and availability models for projects and report to clients
- Oversee engineering tasks and develop industrial solutions tools and processes
- Actively participate in process improvement and technical mentorship.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Educated with an Engineering degree (or equivalent) including power systems and power electronics subjects (minimum 2:1)
- Proven professional experience and technical expertise in the field of power system engineering and preferably in HVDC System Design.
- Knowledge of system tools like PSCAD, PSS/E, DigSilent, RTDS and MATLAB etc.
- Insulation co-ordination and main equipment characteristics for HVDC
- A general understanding of the characteristics of HVDC Valves and their control systems.
