Key responsibilities & impact

Interpret the customer’s technical enquiry and design cost-effective solutions for HVDC installations.
Specify main items of bought-out equipment for HVDC Projects.
Involved in development and industrialization of tools and processes.
Represent GE in front of external stakeholders such as clients and suppliers.
Develop integrated scheme design that meets customer needs.
Conduct Insulation Coordination Studies.
Manage lifecycle of high economic value High Voltage equipment.
Create, verify, and validate electrical power losses models for HVDC systems.
Actively promote identification of hazards and near misses.

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.E/ B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.
10+ years of proven professional experience and technical expertise in the field of Power Systems Engineering and preferably in HVDC System Design/Studies.
Eligibility Requirements: 20% travels to customer and/or supplier sites internationally.
Experience execution large and complex substation/plant projects.
Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Mentoring mindset to develop and grow technical talent.
Understanding of customer need, problem solving, creativity and innovation, relationship management, operational oversight and accountability, engineering instinct.
